Destination Highlights

Sompong Thai Cooking School

Sompong Thai Cooking School offers one of the best cooking classes in Bangkok. Kick-off the day by learning how to find and select the right ingredients for the day’s dishes through a trip to the local market, where you’ll also learn the culinary history of the Thai dishes about to be made.  Learn how to make three different Thai main dishes, a dessert, as well as how to make curry paste from scratch!

Jim Thompson House

A self-made American businessman entrepreneur who was the founder of the world-renowned Jim Thompson Thai Silk Company. Thompson’s achievements in revitalising the Thai silk industry from extinction in the 1950s and 1960s, was one of the most famous Americans living in Asia. Students will enjoy a guided tour of the Jim Thompson House which consists of a complex of six traditional Thai-style houses, teak structures that were purchased from several owners and brought to the present location from various parts of Thailand.

Bangkok City Tour

Our first visit is to Rattanakosin Island, the original area of Bangkok when it was first established as the capital over 200 years ago.  Visit Wat Pho and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, founded in the 16th century, the oldest and biggest temple with the largest number of pagodas in the city. We then proceed to the Temple of Dawnwhich is one of Bangkok’s best-known landmarks. It stands on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River in Thon Buri. Our final visit is to the Grand Palace which was built in 1782. Within these walls are situated government offices and the Chapel Royal of the Emerald Buddha besides the royal residences.
