Overview

The Thailand Engineering study tour provides students an opportunity to undertake a broad study of the engineering environment within Thailand. Students will have the opportunity to engage with universities and academics, industry company visits, government agencies and visiting unique cultural attractions.

Destination Highlights

Ayutthaya Historical Park

Ayutthaya, the second capital of the Siamese Kingdom. Visit Ayutthaya Historical Park, a glorious archaeological site and UNESCO World Heritage Centre that contains palaces, Buddhist temples, monasteries and statues.

Kanchanaburi Railway Station

Our first visit is to the World War II and JEATH Museum. Using the horrors of war to make a case for peace, this museum combines Thai history and art with an eclectic collection of weapons and memorabilia. We then proceed to Kanchanaburi Railway Station where students will take a ride on the Thai-Burma railway train which was built by POW’S during world war 2.

Khao Yai National Park

Enjoy this tour to the Khao Yai National Park. The UNESCO World Heritage Site contains waterfalls, streams, dense forest, and fantastic wildlife. On this day tour, you will take a hike through the park to a spectacular waterfall, and also stop at a market and fruit plantation, to learn more about the area.
