Overview

The South Korea Urban Planning & Sustainability study tour provides students an opportunity to undertake a broad study of the sustainability environment within South Korea. Students will have the opportunity to engage with universities and academics, industry company visits, government agencies and visiting unique cultural attractions.

Destination Highlights

Hangang River Ferry Cruise

Is one of the best ways to enjoy the scenery around Hangang River that flows through Seoul. On the cruise, you can see the surrounding islands, Jeoldusan Park, the 63 City Building, N Seoul Tower, Jamsil’s Multi-Sports Complex, and other famous tourist spots.

Daehan Dawon Tea Plantation

Produces high-quality green tea and is a popular tourist attraction year-round thanks to the vast rows of tea trees that line the hillside like a deep green carpet. Despite being a small peak at just 350 meters above sea level, the observation deck offers views of the sea on clear days.

Nanta Theater

Is the place where you can see and enjoy the first Korean non-verbal performance called ‘Nanta’. Nanta is a pattern of performance combined with traditional Korean folk performance called ‘Samulnori’ and a western form of performance. They perform using all the things that can make sounds such as pots, pans, and plates, etc. This performance will make you satisfied with traditional rhythm and heats of the Korean style.
